When she’s not hard at work writing. she spends her time reading, working out, watching really bad zombie movies, pretending to write, and hanging out with her husband and her Jack Russell, Loki.

Her dreams of becoming an author started in algebra class, where she spent most of her time writing short stories….which explains her dismal grades in math. Jennifer writes young adult paranormal, science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance. She is published with Spencer Hill Press, Entangled Teen and Brazen, Disney/Hyperion and Harlequin Teen.

She also writes adult and New Adult romance under the name J. Lynn. She is published by Entangled Brazen and HarperCollins.

Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx) official Blurb:

Obsidian

There’s an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he’s hot…until he opens his mouth. He’s infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bulls-eye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Onyx

Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

Lux: Consequences (Opal & Origin) official blurb:

Opal

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different… And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing alien hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Origin

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

Lux Fandom Merchandise!

Hello everyone!

I haven’t been on here in ages but I wanted to address something that a lot of my Lux fandom friends ask me about – fandom merch. A lot of you will have experienced the joy of walking into Hot Topic and walking out with a brand spanking new divergent shirt in your hand – the colours still bright and unfaded from the was and that ‘clothes store’ smell that you love oh-so-much permeating your senses. I’m sure you’ll also know the annoyance of having your non-fandom friends as you “what the heck does your shirt mean? It’s so random!” And maybe, a select lucky few of you will know the awesome feeling of wearing your fandom shirt and having someone give you “the nod” as they walk past in a sign of mutual fandom adorance…I mean, obsession.

So now that I’ve got you all drooling and reaching for your existent or non-existent fandom merch, I shall now address the issue I love oh-so-much.

“WHERE CAN I BUY LUX FANDOM MERCH?”

Well, the answer to that can be found on the internet, as everything can be nowadays. I’m telling you this from full experience because I have spent hours upon hours upon hours searching the net for the perfect Lux shirt with the perfect bargain and I figured that I should help my Luxen buddies also be as successful!\

FIRST STOP: THE LUXEN ARMY SHOP

So, the Luxen Arm is one of the fansites for the Lux Series – probably the most popular one. There are links to Jen’s page, there’s forums, interviews, fan fiction and, of course, the shop! The shop sells a variety of producs, from phone cases to T-shirts. Perhaps the most popular design is the one featuring Katy’s shirt’s quote “MY BLOG IS BETTER THAN YOUR VLOG”.  I’ve had a couple of friends buy the shirts and so far no complaints!! This is an easy one-stop solution for your Luxen fan-merch needs!

SECOND STOP: HEBEL DESIGN

This second stop sells mind-blowing Lux jewellery. My most favourite product on here would have to be Katy’s Obsidian Necklace. Fashioned as a pendant with the option for added green crystals (Daemon’s eyes, anyone??), though this product might be quite expensive it is truly gorgeous (maybe send this to someone so they can get you a present, eh?). Hebel Design doesn’t just do Lux jewellery, it also has other series’ including Jen’s Covenant series, The Curse Workers Series, Modern Faerie Tales series and many, many more so go and check it out!

THIRD STOP: eBAY AND ETSY

I’m going to assume that you smart internet users don’t need links to these sites, but if you want comment and I’ll add links. If you’re anything like me and spend basically all your money on books, surprisingly you sometimes don’t have $50 lying around to spend on a necklace, especially if you have to add overseas shipping. There are always alternatives that may bring you similar products. I spent quite a while combing through thousands and thousands of necklaces on ebay and etsy until I found one I liked that was cheap enough for me to buy, plus shipping.

FOURTH STOP: DESIGN YOUR OWN

Unfortunately there aren’t any links for DIY Lux products but if you make one then let us know! I have a bit of experience with t-shirt designing and I promise you its very simple. Some of the more well known sites (like Zazzle ) will cost more but if you search “cheap t-shirt printing” or “design your own t-shirt” you should find some sites. I, personally, use photo editing apps to arrange my text and photos and then put them onto a shirt but fiddle around and see what you can find! For jewellery – head on down to your local arts shop and there should be some jewellery design stuff. Pick up some little green jewels, a chain that you like and a black stone. Make sure you have your arts-and-crafts glue and see what you make! Basically all 10 year old girls had at least one go at jewellery design, my opinion is that you’re never too old to start again!

I hope I’ve given you some ways to LUX up you’re life! Another thing that I did was to make a poster with the covers and some quotes and print it out – I think it looks great on my wall!

Have a very LUX day! :)

News: ‘Lux Series’ Will Be Re-Released in Special Collector’s Edition!
Posted on: December 13, 2013 by Emily
Filed Under: Jennifer L. Armentrout, News, Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Opposition, Origin, The Books
Comments: No Comments

JLA announced today on her website that The Lux Series is getting a makeover!  The books are going to be put into two volumes, both with spanking new covers!  you can read more about this below!  you can pre-order the first volume (Obsidian & Onyx) on Amazon here.

I know that a lot of the Lux series readers have contacted Entangled Teen and me, expressing their disappointment and concern about having a hard time locating the first books in the Lux Series in their local bookstores and libraries.  It’s something that everyone has been working on for months to not only get Lux Series into every store but to broaden the audience, which is hugely important with an Obsidian movie in the works. So I’m really pleased to let you guys in on what’s been going on in the background to make this happen…

On June 3, 2014, special collector’s editions of the Lux Series will be released and shelved.  So some of you might be wondering what does a special collector’s edition mean?

Firstly, you don’t get just one book on June 3rd, but you get TWO books on June 3rd. There will be two volumes releasing that day.

Lux Series Volume 1 (Obsidian and Onyx)
Lux Series Volume 2  (Opal and Origin)

You can actually pre-order Volume 1 right now, as it’s already up on Amazon by clicking HERE, and you’re going to want these special editions.  And here’s why.

Volume 1 will have not one but TWO never seen before, original material that was cut from Obsidian and Onyx, featuring Katy and Daemon.

Volume 2 will have two Daemon POVs. You’ll get that very special chapter of Opal in his POV. You know, a certain smexy scene from Chapter 33 in his POV, and you will also finally get the last scene of Opal in Daemon’s POV.

This bonus material will only be available in the collector editions.

And that’s not all. There are a lot of cool things you’ll have a chance at getting with these new bound editions, plus surrounding them at RT and ALA coming up next year that I can’t wait to share with you guys.

The collector ‘s editions will also be rebound with brand spanking new and very fresh covers. And guys, I’ve seen the covers and not only are they absolutely stunning, they’ve done something so cool with the cover, my jaw hit the floor. They are so different, and I am beyond happy with them.

Since these new volumes are releasing in June of next year, all existing and current paperbacks in the Lux Series (Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, and Origin) will be phased out. That means once the print run is exhausted, no more books will be printed with their current covers. So if you guys are wanting any of those books with the old covers, you might want to go grab yourself one, as they will not be reprinted. At this time, I am hearing that the cover for Opposition will most likely match the new collector’s editions of the Lux Series, and I’m also hearing some cool things that they might be doing with that, but the cover for Opposition hasn’t been confirmed either way at this time.

Now, I know there’s going to be the question: What about the cover models that are currently featured on the Lux Series? Pepe and Sztella are always going to hold a special place in my heart as Daemon and Katy, as I know they’re going to hold a special place in the reader’s heart, but as you guys know, they are featured on many, MANY and MANY covers at this time, which is one of the problems we were running into when it came to getting the earlier novels stocked heavily in the bookstores. They will not be on the new cover and most likely not on Opposition, because…

People had seen the images/covers before.

They’d seen the images/covers many times.

The team at Entangled had to make a decision: keep the existing covers and not get the books into more hands, because with the new distribution we literally HAD TO change the covers, or we changed the covers and got the books reissued back into the market.  Thankfully, the decision was made to change the covers. It was hard, because I do love the old ones, but it was the right decision for the series, and because as an author, I want all the readers to get the chance to read the Lux Series. There are a lot of people out there that don’t order books online or read digital copies and only shop at bookstores. And I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ve been contacted by readers who wanted to read the Lux Series but couldn’t find Obsidian or Onyx in their bookstores or libraries. And that’s always sucked, because we all knew what the problem was, but we couldn’t, at that time, do anything about it.

So I’m thrilled that this is happening. Not only will these new editions hopefully expand the readership, but it is also a great method to get what you guys want in your hands—new, never-before-seen material and extra bonus content.

Check out what we have for you today! There’s also a fantastic excerpt for you to check out below!

EXCERPT:

Moving lightning fast, Dez shifted and I was suddenly
underneath him. His arms were on either side of my head, caging me in. Our
bodies didn’t touch, but I felt him to the tips of my toes anyway.

The teasing grin disappeared when I dragged in a deep breath and my chest
brushed his. Everything changed in an instant. The playful mood faded, replaced
by primal heaviness. Our gazes collided and locked. Neither of us moved. His
closeness sent a series of shivers skittering across my skin and made it hard
to take slow, even breaths. My body tensed when his gaze dropped to my mouth.

He tilted his head to the side. “I… I honestly have no idea what we were
talking about.”

“Good. Neither do I.”

He shifted his weight onto one arm, bring him closer. “Have you enjoyed your
trip so far?”

“Yes.” I felt as if I couldn’t get enough air into my lungs.

“Good.” He lowered his head. His breath was minty as it moved across my cheek
and then my lips. “I’m glad.”

I wasn’t really following the conversation and I wasn’t sure that he was fully
aware of what was coming out of his mouth. I searched my hazy brain for
something to say and wet my lips. I-

The sound that came out of Dez’s chest rumbled through me. A stuttered heartbeat
passed and then his lips were on mine. There was nothing slow about this kiss.
It scorched my skin and caused my body to stretch tight like a bowstring. The
kiss deepened, spinning my senses. I shuddered when his hand curved over my
shoulder and drifted down to my waist, his long fingers spreading out under the
hem of my shirt, grazing the bare skin of my stomach.

I gasped, floored by the raw sensations pounding through my blood. My skin felt
as if I was about to phase. Maybe I was.

“Jasmine,” he whispered, the word falling against my lips, and then his body
was pressing mine into the mattress, heavy, sweet and hard.

ABOUT BITTER SWEET LOVE (The Dark Elements #.5):

In a sizzling prequel novella to her new series The Dark Elements, #1 New York
Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout draws readers into the
extraordinary, irresistible world of Wardens and demons.

Dez wasn’t just Jasmine’s crush. A gargoyle Warden like Jas, he helped her come to terms
with her destiny—fending off demons and maintaining the balance between good
and evil. He was her everything…right until the moment he disappeared without a
trace. It didn’t help that Jas’s father had just announced that she and Dez
would one day be mated. Hard not to take that personally.

And now he’s back, three years older, ten times hotter, ready to pick up exactly where they
left off. But Jas isn’t taking that risk again. Dez has seven days to meet all
her conditions and earn back her trust. Seven days filled with terrifying
danger and sweet temptation. Seven days to win her heart—or shatter it all over
again…

allgoodthings

Fire flowerPure

There is need. And then there is Fate.

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn’t exactly awesome–especially when Alexandria’s “other half” is everywhere she goes. Seth’s in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom–so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do–and sacrifice–for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies–lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon–and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn’t blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude–or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone

INTERVIEW WITH JLA & CHARACTERS FROM PURE:

For JLA – Pure has been called Seth’s book.  Did fans reaction to Seth surprise you?  I wasn’t really surprised by the reaction to Pure because I knew that the book focused more on Seth than Aiden.

For Alex –  Knowing what you know about Leon, do you think there was more to him being the one to find you in labyrinth?  Oh, I’m sure there was more to it.

For Aiden –  By far, the zoo was the best scene in Pure.  What did you enjoy most about being at the zoo with Alex?  I loved knowing that I was doing something for her that made her happy.

For Seth – That whole sleeping issue that you and Alex have in Pure, did you realize what was up or were you just going with it?  I would’ve just gone with it.  But, truth?  I knew what was up.

We, at Daemon and Kitten absolutely LOVE The Covenant Series and if you haven’t read it yet, WE HIGHLY SUGGEST IT!
